Great Time was Had by One and All

Louis, Deborah, Destiny and Little Allen came for a visit over the weekend. We all had a wonderful time. The kids were just great! Jada had the time of her life playing with both of them. The weather was kind of dreary all weekend but that didn't stop us from going to the beach. The weather was not the problem ....we were attacked by some kind of nats...they didn't bite but there were hundreds of them. We didn't notice at first until Louis began to look at his arms then they were all over him. There were other people (clear) on the beach but they didn't seem to be bothered by them. It was the wierdest thing. I had on a black sweather and it was covered. We ran for the truck and got inside but the nats followed us in. We killed nats for a while. While ont he beach we took a look at the new Pier Park,a new upcoming development of stores, like the outside shopping area in Destin only more beachy looking. It's going to be great when completed. Then we visited the only Dairy Queen in Bay County located on the beach for a treat. We went out to Rodeo's for some seafood and returned to Jason's to watch the Patroits beat the Giants. Louis and Deb were happy, Jason and I were not so happy....just wait until the Super Bowl! Jason and I are Colts fans, mostly Tony Dungy fans for real! Louis, Deb and the kids left on Sunday morning and we were sad to see them go. Thank God for family that cares. We look forward to their next visits. Family, remember I have a spare bedroom so come one come all for a visit to sunny (sometimes) Panama City. Happy New Year and God Bless you one and All.

Merry Christmas

Another Christmas is almost gone it's 11:18 pm. Today was such a beautiful day. Not weather wise, the weather was awful, but with family intact, lots of food and friends, I couldn't have asked for a better day. Jada was so happy. Her house looked like Toys or Us. I'm not kidding she got so much stuff. I'm glad it was mostly educational, and art sets. She is one blessed child. Jason braved the cold and rain to grill steaks outside. He kept saying "I didn't know it was going to rain." He was determined to grill..... so he did, and the steaks were great. This was their fist Christmas in their new house and Danielle had everything looking wonderful.
On days like this I think of and miss my parents. They were such a good influence on us. I still follow through with some of the traditions that they instilled in us. You have to get up early to cook and most of the time we had stayed up all night on Christmas Eve. I was up way early this morning getting the dinner on. I thought of daddy today as I sat down with my son to watch westerns that he use to enjoy. I could almost hear him say... "I can't stand that Dean Martin singing,he has no business in westerns". I couldn't help but laugh. Our folks may be gone but they certainly aren't forgotten. They still live in each of us and our children. Love you all.

Mesa Verde Tour and Pix's

Here are some pictures from work. A brand new Naval Ship "The Mesa Verde was commissioned in Panama city. These are photo's from the second floor window outside of the children's dept on the Bay. I took Jada to Tour it and it was beautiful. Two football fields long and 13 stories high. What a wonderful adventure for the both of us. The Captain Did our Tour and took us into his quarters. Jada got to sit in the Captain's chair and she was thrilled. Here are some pictures.
